Easy Drug Rehabilitation

These two videos were screened for the Oak Park High School student body on 12/13/2011. In the aftermath of the tragic deaths of 3 teens in the Conejo Valley, OPHS students created these videos for both educational purposes as well as a call to look out for each other’s well being. The 2nd video “Blades of Grass,” is about suicide awareness. The story is told by Zack Greenwald (OPHS class of 2005), and the background music is by his band “Givers & Takers”. Anti drugs PSA, we show how drugs can destroy you

Stamford High School in their 2007 production “Music My Anti-Drug”. Earning 8th place in WGI PSA

Ads and “Coming Up Next” spots that were shown on CBS during the premiere airing of the primetime soap spoof miniseries “Fresno” (starring Carol Burnett, Dabney Coleman and Charles Grodin). Since I had videocapped them from the VHS, I figured WTH and wanted to share. Local Affiliate: WCAX Channel 3 (Burlington Vermont). Highlights: CBS Newsbreak with Charles Osgood, announcing that N. Korean dictator Kim Il-sung was killed in a shootout (!!), Bruce Jenner shilling for Pringles, the fantabulous 3M copier which prints on BOTH sides, the Minolta Office Computer System, and a couple “Stop the Madness” anti-drug PSAs. Promo spots for many shows, including Dallas, Falcon Crest, Magnum PI, The Equalizer, and TV movies (Penalty Phase w/Peter Strauss & Houston The Legend of Texas w/Sam Elliott).

Question by ghost: I never saw a Narcotics Anonymous book in my high school, but kids did get high in the bath rooms?
Why isn’t their more education about drugs in schools? I know health class has a little knowledge on the subject. But I think it would be a good idea to show films on A.A., and N.A. topics early.

What you didn’t know is that kids snorted lines off their Narcotics Anonymous textbook to get high in the bathrooms. I thought everyone knew that.

We had to do a PSA for Computer Literacy and we didn’t get to pick our groups. I didn’t like my group much and this is what we came up with. It’s a meth PSA. I’ll put up some of the examples of thier acting later it is… interesting.
