How long does it take for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program to last?

November 13, 2011 - 3:57 pm 5 Comments

Question by jake: How long does it take for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program to last?
I want to undergo a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. I want to start over with my life and I think allowing myself to be sober and detoxified is my first step to recovery. I’m worried about the time, though. I want to know how long the program will last because I want to be fully-recovered by the time my sister Sam gets married (which is in 6 weeks). Please help. Thank you.

I suggest you make an appointment with the facility you are most interested in being committed to. They will give you realistic goals and facts about rehab. Every person is different, and it’s not only going to rehab that makes you clean, it’s the desire not to go back to that type of behavior. Really WANTING it is the first and largest step to getting clean. Good Luck!

Does anyone know of a free, or cheap, non faith based, non 12 step, meth addiction treatment program?

October 14, 2011 - 12:57 am 1 Comment

Question by Solomon: Does anyone know of a free, or cheap, non faith based, non 12 step, meth addiction treatment program?
With all the hype about meth addiction and it’s evils you would think it would be easy to find help. Not so far.
I have been looking for a free, or cheap, non faith based, non 12 step meth addiction outpatient program in the Phoenix Metro area. Something with counselling and medical supervision would be ideal. I cannot afford to not be working since I am self employed. I need to quit, and want to be clean. The cycle must be broken. Does anybody know how to help?

I find a drug rehabilitation program in New Castle, Delaware?

September 6, 2011 - 9:59 am 1 Comment

Question by joy: I find a drug rehabilitation program in New Castle, Delaware?
Does anyone know if I can find a drug rehabilitation program in New Castle, Delaware? I’m from Colorado so I don’t have any idea about the different centers in Delaware. So why am I asking about Delaware? Simple. My parents want me to find a drug rehabilitation program for my brother Jaime in New Castle, Delaware – a place that’s far enough from home… and from rumors. My parents are very protective of Jaime and they don’t want anybody else to find out that their son has a problem with drugs. I would really appreciate your answers.

I’m sure there has to be one or something like a support group that you can go to. Try calling your towns social services department and they should be able to help you. Support groups can be very helpful because everyone is on the same boat.

After three years of negotiation, my friend’s brother has finally agreed to check into a drug rehab and the whole family wants to support him. Are there rehab programs which provide talks or seminars about dealing with a family member who’s into drugs?

How can a drug rehabilitation program help my brother?

July 26, 2010 - 1:12 pm 1 Comment

Question by levin j: How can a drug rehabilitation program help my brother?
I love my brother so much that it tears me apart seeing him gradually devastated by his drug addiction. I know that only drug rehabilitation programs can help but I wonder how they can actually do this. You see, I’m very particular since he’s the only brother that I have. Do you have any idea about what they have in the programs?

Best answer:

Answer by edwina l
Drug rehabilitation programs today are systematically equipped to address all of an addict’s issues, covering his emotional hangovers to spiritual revival. As such, all rooms for drug abuse will eventually be taken from his familiar system. Programs actually involve detoxification, counseling, behavioral therapies, medication, and group meetings. But of course, the treatment program that will be assigned to a particular patient is still dependent on the intensity of his addiction.

Now, I’m hoping for your brother’s recovery.
