Question by need-drug-treatment: I am looking for health insurance that covers mental health and drug treatment. Any specific suggestions?
Can anyone recommend an insurance plan that they’ve used to obtain quality drug treatment? I am really trying to get in to one of the Narconon facilities but any drug treatment that covers the full spectrum (not just the drug use, but the emotional or other reasons that cause addicts) would work. Anything we can make financial arrangements for. Everything we can find is free and hasn’t worked or ,000+ and we can’t afford even with loans etc. So any resources regarding insurance would be very helpful. Thanks

Looking Into Drug Rehabilitation Programs

January 20, 2010 - 7:07 pm Comments Off

There are so many different drug rehab programs out there today it is hard to decide which one is right for you or your loved one. Honestly, it just takes the time to research some of the many programs that are offered, and a decision on which drug rehabilitation clinic will work best for the substance abuser.

Some of the drug rehabs that are out there only offer one or two different types of therapy or counseling sessions, but there are some that offer more. Similarly, some centers only require their patients to attend counseling two or three times a week, while the others offer it two to three times a day. These differences boil down to the type of personality of the addict, and the amount of help and motivation they need in order to beat their addiction.

Drug rehabilitation centers do not want to see their participants not succeed on their journey to sobriety. That want everyone to make it down the path of drug rehabilitation and to be able to return to his or her lives on the outside world and become a striving member of society, but without the proper help and guidance, this is not always possible.

It is not at all shameful to ask for the help of others, in fact it takes much strength to admit that you are unable to fix all of the mistakes that you have made through life. Although not everybody is a hundred percent successful on their journey they do continue to keep trying and if you happen to feel that the drug rehab program that you are participating in is not giving you all that you need in order to make it do not feel ashamed to try a different one.

Everybody is different and therefore needs a program that fits their needs. If only one program was successful then every rehab center would be using that same method, but we know that that is not the case. We need to accommodate everyone.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR :-

John L. Carlson has spent some time learning about the development of the human brain and has looked into the changes that take place within the brain when drugs are introduced into the picture. As a result, he has come to find that it is a good thing that different drug rehab programs are offered throughout the nation. He also discovered that although people tend to be judgmental about drug rehabs, when they are face with a similar more personable situation they start to understand the benefits of having these options. Drug rehabilitation is hard enough, you do not need to be judged or put down for your addiction during your road to recovery.
