Question by jamc2009: Colorado DUI what should I expect First time?
This is a long story, I received a DUI in Colorado and did not show up for court. A bench warrant was issued. I left the state. Went to Nevada. Was on drugs. For 7 years I was on the streets of Nevada until I finally was able to get my life together by going to Narconon. I am completely drug free and do not drink or smoke. I am now facing my actions when I was on drugs.
I now live in Mass., getting my life together and have Contacted Colorado about the DUI.

Question by Samir: can a person get addicted to meth after they use it for the first time?
my buddy told me that honolulu was the meth capitol of the world
I don’t want to end up like that guy

Answer by Ney yes, it is very possible. Because the high is so strong, but short and the crash is so hard, it is very addicting. People with addictive personalities are very likely to get hooked. It is also possible for it to kill you after the first use.
And the “Meth Capitol of the World” is not in Honolulu. Central Valley, California and Fresno, California have the the worst methamphetamine problems per capita.

Answer by dekkerman2002 My experience is the only thing I can share…..but the first time I tried meth, I loved it. It was the best feeling in the world, and it made sex incredible. It depends on what your definition of addicted is. Will you crave the drug and need it immediately after it leaves your system? Probably not, but I did want to try it again. Luckily I only did it a couple of times. Most of my friends who tried it once, are addicted, in rehab, and have lost everything. My advice…….don’t do it, NEVER!

Similar trends are evident among both boys and girls; among whites, blacks and Hispanics; and in metropolitan and nonmetropolitan areas (SAMHSA 1997a). Other studies have also shown a doubling of marijuana use between 1992 and 1995 among 8th graders, and significant increases among 10th and 12th graders (NIDA 1997). At the same time, the rate of 12 to 17 year olds perceiving great risk in using marijuana has decreased. In the 1992 NHSDA, 39 percent of youths reported that smoking marijuana once a month is of great risk to people compared with 33 percent in 1996. Similarly, in 1992, 64 percent of youths reported smoking marijuana once or twice a week was of great risk to people compared with 57 percent in 1996 (SAMHSA 1997b). The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has reported that marijuana can be harmful both from immediate effects and damage to health over time. Specifically, studies have shown that marijuana can hinder the users’ short term memory and ability to handle difficult tasks (Schwartz …

As cocaine interferes with the way the brain processes chemicals, one needs more and more of the drug just to feel “normal.” People who become addicted to cocaine (as with most other drugs) lose interest in life. Coming down from the drug causes severe depression, which becomes deeper and deeper after each use. This can get so severe that a person will do almost anything to get the drug — even commit murder. And if he or she can’t get cocaine, the depression can get so intense it can drive the addict to suicide.
