How to market your film before release

January 23, 2010 - 10:05 am Comments Off

Marketing a film plays a very important role in the marketing of a film. It also depends how we are targeting a film trailer in front of the public, it determines the performance of a movie in the box office. A film is also depending upon the casting stars, producers, directors, music director, lyricist, editor, choreographer, dress designer and all. Film location is also one of the major factors behind the success of the movie.

Film trailer is nothing but selected shots from a movie is to aware the people about the film so that it creates the curiosity and the interest about the film. A film trailer is at the max lasts for two and a half minutes. So, in just two and a half minutes the director has to decide which scene is to be screened first and the last scene and how it generates the curiosity among the audience. He has to decide which songs he needs to be focused during marketing.

Everyone has different opinions about the marketing of a film. Some film trailers point out the story line while marketing a film, some trailers focus on the casting crews hero, heroine of the films, dresses, locations and all, some film trailers focus on the sequel of a movie and the difference between the previous sequel and the present one.

Some believe that for promoting a film it is necessary to create hype about the movie like there is a differences going on between the actress and the producer of the film, affair between the actor and actress, so and so actor has bypass the following actor which was supposed to be cast for the film and so on. Normally the same thing is posed during the film trailers to attract the audiences.

For the better promotion of the films they slowly and steadily increase the movie trailers before the release date of a movie. So that it creates excitement among the audiences. Now days on every news channel rather than news we saw more film trailers rather than news especially before the releasing date of a movie. On every entertainment channel, banners on the road, quiz about the movies, win film tickets, exciting offers, chance to meet the stars of a movie all of them are considered to be a promotional method to promote a film before release.
