Here is the first in a series of commercials for DWI of Cibola County (Grants, New Mexico) in cooperation with NMSU-Grants (New Mexico State University Grants Campus) and Working Boy Productions of Albuquerque, NM. Inspired by the “This is your brain” public service announcements we use “This is your car… this is your car after you drink.” We also use a hip version of the famous “You Drink, You Drive, You Lose” campaign which is “You Booze, You Cruise, You Lose.” This commercials will run on KASA Fox in New Mexico during the 2007-2008 school year with the majority run in April and May when most teen drunk driving accidents tend to happen (due to prom and graduation). We encourage your feedback and if you’d like to have us customize this commercial for your own DWI campaign please contact Doug Bocaz-Larson at dbocaz@nmsu.edu From en.wikipedia.org Driving under the influence of alcohol, drunk driving, drinking and driving (North American English), or drink-driving (British/Irish and Australian/New Zealand English), is the act of operating a motor vehicle (and sometimes a bicycle or similar human-powered vehicle) after having consumed alcohol (ethanol) or other drugs, to the degree that mental and motor skills are impaired. A family guilt trip for my Alcoholic relative

May 26, 2011 - 7:06 am 26 Comments

A public service announcement geared toward the most prominent drunk in my family. Don’t get bummed out by it… it’s dark humor… the kids are just parroting what i told them to say, they’re not really sad. the first kid is just a really good method-actor and thought he was talking about how much Root Beer his aunt drinks, leaving none left for him (so that was why he was crying in the pictures he drew). Lying to kids for theatrical life condemnations on family members is awesome. Question by lisa: Is there a drug rehabilitation program which also helps the family of the drug abuser?
After three years of negotiation, my friend’s brother has finally agreed to check into a drug rehab and the whole family wants to support him. Are there rehab programs which provide talks or seminars about dealing with a family member who’s into drugs?
