Easy Drug Rehabilitation

Question by invalid_screenname1: Crystal meth addiction?
A friend of mine has just told me that she has been using meth for 2-3 months. She says that she wants to stop and i believe her, however, she dose not want to resort to rehab yet. My question is is there anything she can do when she has an intense craving? Please just answer the question, i don’t need anyone telling me she needs rehab. i know that is a possibility but i want to a least give her a chance.

just be there for her now that she is coming down. hold her, hold her hair when she pukes, provide the blankets for the shakes and the cool rags for the sweats….. its not going to be easy to do it alone….. best of luck to you guys.

My friend was telling me about a movie about a guy who is addicted to meth. It basically shows how it feels to be on meth, and then in the end there is an explosion and he dies or something.
I was just wondering in anyone knows what this movie is called?

I am a therapist that works with mostly addicts so I am attempting to gain as much knowledge on the subject as possible. Feel free to tell your story of meth addiction.
P.S. Im a children’s social worker and meth destroys lives.

A person can be hooked the first time meth is used. It is a very addictive drug. I don’t use drugs but I work in corrections and see lives devastated every day.

I watch way to much Intervention, and when I’m watching the episodes on meth addiction, I get so curious as to what sensations you get. Because most of them say they love it. I don’t wish to try it, but I am genuinly curious.
There is no need for rude answers. Im sure there are plenty of non-drug users that are curious as to what sensations can be so great that it becomes the #1 thing in your life.

His doctor did inject him daily but it was not crystal meth! His doctor injected him vaccinations to keep him in tip top shape!

Question by The therapist / MSW: How did you get off drugs or crystal meth?
I am a children’s social worker in Orange County California and the great majority of my clients are drug addicts…mostly meth. Basically, we came in and were forced to remove their children from their care in order to protect the children. Their meth addiction led to a horrible deterioration of their lives, placing their kids at great risk.
About 90% of my clients are parents who must overcome their addiction and stay clean from drugs in order reunify with their children.
Do you have any tips in order to say clean?

Also, with meth, are there ways to detect meth use, other than formication (speed bumps), rapid speech, positive drug tests and decaying teeth?

Im also intersted in any random and informative info on meth that you might have to offer.
