Answer by compassionate-angel My husband, fought a fifteen year addiction…and overcame it and has been clean for eight years….the ONLY way, is you need to find out WHY you are addicted, whay is it that you need to feel so good about? Are you not loved,…are you in great emotional pain? Why not give your life over to God and Jesus,…then, maybe the guilt of knowing that you are letting THEM down, and praying for strength to quit..will stop you..your body is your temple, and you must love yourself, and the creation that God made…Love Jesus, and pray, and They will give you the strength you need,…

Question by worldpeaceplse: If someone is trying to get clean and sober and keeps using, but always wants my help, what do I do?
A friend habitually drinks after around thirty days clean and sober, but wants to get help from me and does not want me to give up on them. Every time there is a relapse there is guilt and shame, but a week later wants to continue to try. I do not know what to do, and I am growing weary of this situation. They could die from late stage alcoholism, but cannot go into in-patient rehabilitation, due to circumstances. I have been there for them and also in recovery. What should I do that will be most effective that might click?

Answer by FORZA ITALIAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Tell them the truth – that you are sick and tired of the cycle and can’t do anything to help them if they don’t honestly want to help themselves. Say “DUDE- YOU ARE GONNA DIE!!!” and see where that gets ya. Tell them to check into treatment. There’s really nothing you can do – it’s up to him to make those choices in his life.
THIS IS A DRUG ADDICTION SONG, A STAYING CLEAN & SOBER REHAB SONG, WE’VE ALL BEEN THERE, OR WE’VE ALL HAD A FRIEND WHO HAS BEEN THERE. IT WAS WRITTEN BY NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS AL DETROLIO, CJ WATSON AND MICHAEL AMBROSE. CONTACT INFORMATION: CUTSVILLE@COMCAST.NET IF WE CAN SAVE EVEN ONE PERSON FROM DRUG ADDICTION, GET ONE PERSON INTO REHAB WHO NEEDS TO BE THERE, OR KEEP ONE PERSON CLEAN & SOBER WHO’S ABOUT TO SLIP, THEN IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.
lol before you say anything, this is not for me. I’m writing a novel, and one of the character’s recent memories are completely wiped clean. After she disappeared for several days, she was found in a car surround by illegal drug paraphanalia, which authorities chalked up to her having memory loss. Any suggestions??
Not to be a pain, but if you could please justify/support your answer or have resources cited so i can make sure that info is solid
thanks for everything =)
