A friend of mine has just told me that she has been using meth for 2-3 months. She says that she wants to stop and i believe her, however, she dose not want to resort to rehab yet. My question is is there anything she can do when she has an intense craving? Please just answer the question, i don’t need anyone telling me she needs rehab. i know that is a possibility but i want to a least give her a chance.

Answer by jamie2769 just be there for her now that she is coming down. hold her, hold her hair when she pukes, provide the blankets for the shakes and the cool rags for the sweats….. its not going to be easy to do it alone….. best of luck to you guys.

Answer by catherine you can help them by being detached from all of it and impersonal so you don’t get hurt.Narc Anon is the best bet with regular meetings and sometimes every day attendance until they stay clean.This can take years so be by their side while going to meetings as a support system.

They say the biggest miracles come from the most unexpected of places. I have been addicted to injecting meth for almost 5 years. Its destroyed everything in my life, given me cancer and AIDS and even though I got back on my feet for awhile, its doing it again. I dont want to lose the precious love I have had returned to me in my life… my sweetest dog – Nitty Woos, my dedicated mother, or my best friend and most loyal of companions – Brad, or all the worldly but important things Ive earned back, such as my health or my car. Please, I cant stop using… Ive tried so hard. I dont want to die like this. I will give anything to find a way to never do it again, if only I could.
