Question by Chris: Has anyone with a spouse addicted to meth, been able to get him / her to stop denying and admit it?
If so, how long did it take, and how did you get them to stop denying it and fess up?

I knew people who might beat me (violence) if I dared mention it. It is a nasty drug. The only hope for an addict is for them to make it one year without using it. Which usually involves a stay at a facility. Meth can devour a person’s body and facial features in less than 3 years. I know someone who knew a meth addict who had them arrested for possession. The police gave him literature for treatment, and this got him into a facility. In my opinion it was the only thing that would work.

My next-door neighbor is heroin-dependent. I have just recently convinced her to get herself admitted at a drug rehab. I just don’t know how I’m going to look for one. I’m a work-at-home mom, so I don’t really have much time for roaming around outside of the house. Any ideas?

Have you thought about looking IN THE TELEPHONE BOOK?… those centers are ALWAYS listed in the phone book

Question by Saraphina Blue: Would I be able to go to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting with my cousin for moral support or is it only for the?
person who needs the NA meeting? She is so nervous. She is taking prescribed Morphine for a bad back and is worried she needs help to get off. She asked if I’d go with her to the NA meeting.

Yes…initially,they allow you to go for support.
But then after a couple of attendances….your cousin should be ok going on her own.

Question by deedeestnsn: My daughter is a drug addict. I was able to do an intervention and get her to Narconon.?
Now I need financial help either a sponsor who can pay the program up front and I pay them back, or ways i can possible finance her rehab. I taken out a loan and put what they require to place her there but now I need to be inventive on how to afford to keep her there and heal. She is 19 and has been living on the streets of colorado, got into legal problems and now she is on the road to recovery. If anyone can help me find an individual, organization or ideas it would be deeply appreciated.
