My daughter is a drug addict. I was able to do an intervention and get her to Narconon.?
Question by deedeestnsn: My daughter is a drug addict. I was able to do an intervention and get her to Narconon.?
Now I need financial help either a sponsor who can pay the program up front and I pay them back, or ways i can possible finance her rehab. I taken out a loan and put what they require to place her there but now I need to be inventive on how to afford to keep her there and heal. She is 19 and has been living on the streets of colorado, got into legal problems and now she is on the road to recovery. If anyone can help me find an individual, organization or ideas it would be deeply appreciated.

Hold on. IF she wants help that’s great. But if she doesn’t there is nothing you can do for her. No one is going to pay for her treatment. If she wants to go to rehab, then you contact the rehab and talk to them about finances OR you contact the county’s department of social services and get her in that way (if she has no insurance or money.)
It’s not “Narconon”, it’s called Narcotics Anonymous. But she really needs rehab first.

St Petersburg fl..”Solid Rock” spiritual based 12 step program…awesome recovery rate. They own 28 individual homes…thing is, the addict/alcoholic gets a job and pays rent. Strict program..allows them to become productive members of society.Drugs are just a symptom of the disease…they get to the root of it. Good luck. If you check around you may find other programs that cost nothing out of pocket.

I’m concerned for you.
Most narcotic-sedative addicts (unless unusually blessed) go through a series of treatments before achieving a recovering status. I know you love your daughter, but slow down and don’t get yourself into a financial disaster paying off these mercenary treatment facilities that frequently only provide temporary results, while you’ll be paying for it for years.
Get some consultation from other professionals who have no connection to the treatment facility.

You can get her on Medicaid first. Contact the Department of Health and Human Services. Then get her a legal guardian. She (the legal guardian) will be in charge of her finances.
