WASHINGTON – Former Rep. Mark Foley under FBI investigation for e-mail exchanges with teenage congressional pages, has checked himself into a rehabilitation facility for alcoholism treatment and accepts responsibility for his actions, his attorney said Monday.
“I strongly believe that I am an alcoholic and have accepted the need for immediate treatment for alcoholism and other behavioral problems,” Foley said in a statement, Roth told the AP.
And Tony Snow, White Press Secretary says with a smile:
“Oh, this was just a matter of a few “naughty” e-mails

And so now, Foley sees the need for alcohol rehabilitation, because he “likes teenage boys”

Well, isn’t that a convenient excuse for being a pedophile. He has a issue with alcohol. Now I have heard it all. It is just a reality in our society if your wealthy or attractive and have money you can do what you want I guess. I just cannot believe it. They need to start making everyone abide by the rules. Wrong is wrong, who cares if you are beautiful, so that means you cannot go to prison, and if you are a politician you can solicit young men and that is ok if you check into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. What about his issues with young men, is he going to get help with that. Unbelievable, just unbelievable. I think we live in a society of denial and cover up. How very sad.

I love it when any government worker gets caught. They are put on such a high pedestal, and are allowed to “judge” us. It is nice to know that whoever chose them for the position, was wrong.
They think they are so “smart” and “perfect”.
They are supposed to be in position to protect our rights, but all they do is protect themselves, and act like they are all “high and mighty”.
I am sure there are a lot more.
