The Academy program, modeled after Delancey Street in San Francisco, is a 2-year rehabilitative program for ex-convicts, recovering addicts, and previously homeless individuals. During the 2-year minimum process, participants undergo rehabilitation from the inside out through details such as wearing a suit to dinner, continuing their education, and learning employable skills. Under the “Each one, Teach one” philosophy, participants hold each other accountable for their action, behavior, and even language. All of this results in a change for the better that’s permanent and applicable to a new, healthier, more productive life.
