About Naloxone or Narcan used in Harm Reduction Outreach by the Chicago Recovery Alliance to stop overdose deaths (OD) by drug users. Naloxone is used by Paramedics and emts worldwide to prevent death.

This is a anti-drug PSA I made and aired on cable access. As an officer I got a grant to help stomp out the drug problem. Being a star wars fan – heres one of the ads I produced.

Marty Angelo, a former music business entrepreneur, is the author of the powerful life-changing autobiography, “Once Life Matters: A New Beginning.” Angelo’s story reveals how Jesus Christ totally transformed his sinful life of “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll” into a strong witness of God’s grace, mercy, and love. Before Angelo’s dramatic and “electrifying” conversion to Christianity in 1981 and going into full-time ministry, he worked in the entertainment business for 15 years, getting his first professional break from the “late Jimi Hendrix.” He managed various rock bands including the popular, Grass Roots starring Rob Grill. Angelo also created, wrote, and produced the ’70s trendy dance television show, “Disco Step-by-Step®” and in 1978 was voted one of the Top 20 disco record promoters in the world. Angelo was arrested in 1980 for two counts of possession of cocaine and served two and a half years in a federal prison. He became a Christian through his legal troubles and has been a minister for the last 26+ years. Marty Angelo has served God with Chuck Colson’s Prison Fellowship Ministries, Teen Challenge of Southern California, and Faith Farm Ministries. He also helped develop the “Drug Farm,” the Palm Beach County Florida Sheriff’s faith-based residential ‘boot-camp style’ treatment facility. A man in a Florida supermarket tries to buy half a head of lettuce.

The young produce assistant tells him that they sell only whole heads of lettuce and there is no way of selling just “half”.

The man is persistent though and insists that the manager should be spoken too.

The boy says fine and proceeds down the hall to the manager’s office where upon walking in he exclaims: “Some asshole wants to buy half a head of lettuce.’ As he finished his sentence, he turns to find the man standing right behind him, so he quickly added, ‘And this gentleman has kindly offered to buy the other half.’

The manager approved the deal, and the man went on his way with his half of a lettuce head..

Later the manager said to the boy, ‘I was impressed with the way you got yourself out of that situation earlier. We like people who think on their feet here. Where are you from, son?’

‘Canada, sir,’ the boy replied.

‘Well, why did you leave Canada?’ the manager asked.

The boy said, ‘Sir, there’s nothing but whores and hockey players in Canada.’

‘Oh Really?’ said the manager as he leans close to the boy. ‘Well my WIFE is from Canada.’

To which the boy immediately replied: ‘Really? that’s awesome sir, which team did she play for?

The moral of this story is, ummm, errr…. I guess it’s “you can get yourself out of anything if you are clever enough”
