90′s Commercials Vol. 23
These commercials aired on KCAL-TV during a Lakers/Sonics game on February 28th, 1990. 1. Toyota 2. Valvoline 3. Taco Bell 4. Anti Drug PSA (Member’s Only LOL) 5. Northwest Airlines 6. Jack In The Box (They recently changed their logo. I’m disappointed in them) 7. Coast Auto Insurance Services 8. Toots Lagoon (This commercial definitely encapsulates what people looked like around my area in the early 90′s) 9. cigarrest (This “pharmacist” is creepy. I love the sheer variety of people interviewed) 10. LA Hearne & Company 11. Mr. Z (Near the AQUARIUM!) 12. Northwest Airlines 13. California Fresh Eggs (We don’t want your stinkin’ Nevada Eggs here!) 14. mcdonald’s 15. Camino Camper 16. Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital

It’s hard to believe that most of those cars on these commercials are sitting in a junkyard now.

Between the farm supply outfit ON THE WEST SIDE OF TOWN…. Mr.Z and THE AQUARIUMMMMM… the obsession with “local” eggs and last but not least the voice of God for Camino Camper…. I’m convinced California is the land of fruits and nuts!!!!

San Joaquin County used to be the same way, but now it depends on which town you’re in. Tracy has some SF network affiliates while Manteca and Stockton have SF indies.

I do believe the CigArrest pharmacist has been sampling the Oxycotin.

I think they still have the old logo. What does the new one look like anyway?
March 19th, 2010 at 8:40 am
I remember the old Jack In The Box jingle, with its pizzicato-type tones, and also the ringing of the Taco Bell bell.

In Solano County it is common to have two TV markets on either Cable or on DTV. Sacramento TV Stations and San Francisco stations since most people who live in Solano county usually commute to Oakland, San Francisco and Sacramento.

Was KCAL9 a Superstation in 1990?

3:02 Coast Auto Insurance Services has the last four digits in all available cities in the region. In Sync with the year date. Very 90′s. Glad to see the early 90′s Commercials posted once again. I am interested in seeing that Lakers/Seattle Game now. 5/5.

Oh I agree so much. The new Jack in the Box logo SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. Thankfully some of the ones in my area have kept the classic, GOOD logo. Those are the only ones I go by now.
