where do they get these names? everything will show up as the same as whatever the tester wants to think it should.

Oxycontin and Lortab are both opiates, so on a standard dip-stick test they will show up as the same thing. However, if they send the test for further testing the two can be differentiated easily.

a drug test will most certainly define what type of drug is in your system. if you are tested in a hospital lab they can separate drugs. however, most other drug tests are a generalization of what class drug.

yeah, they’re a different chemical compound.

    oxycodone HCl controlled-release

    vs.

    acetaminophen and hydrocodone

Lortab is percocet, which is oxycodone and acetaminphen. Oxycodone and oxycontin are very closely related.

If you’re taking oxycontin by prescription, and taking it as directed, simply tell your doctor that you’re running low.

If you’re taking more than is prescribed for you, ask your doctor about a referral to a chronic pain clinic.
