What is the difference between percocet and roxicet?

I’ve been taking percocet for about 8 years now and they’re just not as effective but I took a 30mg roxicet and it seemed to help. How would I go about asking my doctor to switch without seeming like I’m seeking? I’ve been taking this for chronic moderate/severe pain from a car accident.

Its the amount of tylenol in them. Just tell your dr. your pain meds dont seem to be as effective anymore, is there something he would recommend that would help.
