My best friend has always been addicted to illegal drugs. How do I step in this delicate crisis? I am a resident of Bear, Delaware. Any public or voluntary or professional services company would help me make a difference.

I think you should just talk to him or her and tell them what you feel

This is difficult. I certainly wouldn’t go to the police that’s a big over reaction. I think you need to be more specific – what drugs are they taking?

Taking them to see a doctor together shows you support them, professionals will give them the right advise.

Unfortunately I live in England and do not have links to your local area but I do know that any type of drug rehabilitation group would be able to guide you.

Good luck and remember they are your friend and they need support there is usually an underlying reason why they feel like they need to resort to drugs.

You can look up addiction rehab counseling centers in your city or town. Use the directory to find institutions operating in your state. Check into free consultations on how to help an addicted pal. Best wishes.
