My sister is 30 years old and has been on oxycotin and roxicodon (sorry if spelled wrong) for 8 years now. (I believe it is 40mg oxys and 15mg roxis if this sounds right). She is trying to detox and is suffering from withdrawl symptoms and wants to know how long this will last until she is normal again?? Any answers will be appreciated! Thank you!

It’s about 5 days of feeling quite horrible followed by about a month of ‘the blues’. It took me 2 months to finally sleep properly at night and feel like my old self again.

    Good Luck

My friend said she derived comfort from soaking in a nice warm bath. Took the edge off.

It takes about 5 days 4 the detox 2 ware off- followed by the light headed feelings and dizziness. She is going 2 feel pretty sh**ty 4 awhile- probably wont b able 2 sleep or eat anything 4 about a wk. & feel like if she does, she’s going 2 c it defined. However- if she can eat, it will help push out the toxins and drinking is good 4 pushing them out as well. Water, juice, beleive it or not, coffee or iced tea is good cause of the tanic acids in them. Hot showers can help- it relaxes the muscles that will relax her stomache. Good luck and best wishes.
