*** Cannabinoids and tumor inhibition in the news again this week!: www.mapinc.org On this video filmed in 2006, Dr. Robert Melamede, Professor of Biology at the University of Colorado, explains how the body’s Endo-Cannabinoid system (and plant based Cannabinoids as suppliment) kills cancer cells and inhibits tumor growth. Refering to 1974 USgovernment-sponsored study when THC was found to slow growth of cancer cells projectcensored.org and to recent research in Spain finding that THC stopped brain tumors in rats and protected surrounding nerve tissue, demonstrating neuroprotectant aspect of Cannabinoids. PDF of Dr. Guzman’s research: americanmarijuana.org Refering to “Homeostatic Regulation” of several body systems by Cannabinoids, Dr. Melamede concludes that Cannabis is indeed a “Miracle Drug”, also recommending hemp oil as excellent source of efas the body needs to fight disease. I’m sorry, it’s “Run from the CURE” not truth.

  2. fatherofmy5 Says:

I saw this Doctor at the 4/20 rally in Denver 09, brilliant man. The more I study this subject the more it seems to me we’re just lab rats giving scientists something to play with, no concern if we live or die, or how painful it may be, just so the pharmacuetical companies can bring in billions. I protest!!!

do a youtube search for “run from the truth – The Rick Simpson story” and tell me if there’s anything cannabis can’t help with.

Do you think that a cannabis preparation applied topically could help someone with Renauld’s Syndrome?

It is Amazing what THC can do. my immune system has been weak since I was a baby. I’ve been in and out of hospital all my life. except the pass year, I’ve done a study own my body with THC. It has helped me so much. when H1N1 was going around bad In my town, I did not get sick. I felt a little weak but with few days of rest I was right back to myself. without going to the hospital or taking any medications.

Dr. Melamede has fathered 4 healthy children, 2 were born when he was 55 & 57 years old.
“I’ve been consuming Cannabis since I was 16 years old (currently 61) I started college when I was 16 years old. .. I’m successful (Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry) & it hasn’t impaired my reproductive capacity”.

A cell phone placed all day long next to your testicles radiating radiation & heat, what do you think happens? Why not ask Johnnie Cochran what he thinks about placing a cell phone near his brain for extended amounts of time!

I am not trying to argue with you over marijuanas usefulness in many ailments. I have a great respect for the plant. I just bring up the testicular thing because that is one form that has been linked to marijuana usage.

That is an interesting study, but once again, it does not address testicular cancer specifically. I know marijuana studies are lacking, but the decision to partake or not might be not so easy to someone.

  10. EssiacHempLaetrile Says:

Interesting I leave links to all sorts of Cancer types but you decide to bring up testicle Cancer.

“These studies have also opened new perspectives in clinical applications, pointing to the ECS (endocannabinoid system) as a new target for correcting infertility and for improving reproductive health in humans. It is hoped that CB2-dependent endocannabinoid signalling might become a useful target for correcting infertility, in both men and women.”

How could you have missed that case when I directly replied to you. As proof click on “View All comments” located at the bottom of this comment section!

  12. dreaminginnoother Says:

@EssiacHempLaetrile so basically put it in your body the best way you can and it works against cancer? I am just curious about that testicular cancer link. If that were my situation, I might not be so quick to consume thc.

  14. dreaminginnoother Says:

@EssiacHempLaetrile I did not see that case. Must have been a response to someone else. That is a very interesting case study, but marijuana smokers get cancer too. In fact, if you google marijuana and testicular cancer, there is a study that found a higher prevalence of it in marijuana smokers. It is only like a 300 person study, and it is just a relationship, but the fact is, marijuana has definitely not slowed it down.

  15. EssiacHempLaetrile Says:

You must not have read my previous reply, quoting Dr. Melamede “Cannabis smoke should not cause Cancer”.
    PUBMED: 16232311

“Steve Kubby was told by the Mayo Clinic that he has (Adrenal Cancer) approximately 6 months to live. He was told that 35 years ago he only uses one medicine Steve smokes about one half ounce a day of bud (Cannabis) he uses Sativa strains.”

  16. dreaminginnoother Says:

@EssiacHempLaetrile so vaporizing actually is a good bit better? If getting the oil is not really a viable option, would getting a vaporizer be helpful at all?

  17. dreaminginnoother Says:

@EssiacHempLaetrile again, you missed my question. Referring to the results of the study above, low doses of cannabanoids may enhance proliferation. This means that smoking a joint could make your prostate or breast cancer worse?

  19. dreaminginnoother Says:

@EssiacHempLaetrile I was referring to “Breast and Prostate Cancer cells are also sensitive to Cannabinoid-induced antiproliferation (restrict). Regarding the immune system, low doses of Cannabinoids may enhance cell proliferation (spread), whereas high doses of Cannabinoids (Rick Simpson’s Cancer Cure Hemp Oil) usually induce growth arrest or apoptosis (cell death).”

Does that mean a joint will make things worse?

  20. EssiacHempLaetrile Says:

    Medical Marijuana (most cases)
Best … Ingest (Rick Simpson’s Cancer Cure Hemp Oil)
Better … Vaporize (Vapor not smoke)
    Good … Topical
Worst … Joint (about 90% of the beneficial Cannabinoids are burnt)

  21. EssiacHempLaetrile Says:

    @dreaminginnoother …

“I put together a comparison (PMID: 16232311) of the two that clearly shows why Cannabis smoke should not cause lung Cancer whereas Tobacco smoke should.”
