Dawn, 49, is a meth addict, suffering the extreme physical addition symptoms of the drug. She often hallucinates and imagines things, symptoms of meth psychosis. Dawn lives on the streets and wanders from place to place. Dawn’s family is desperately trying to get her help. Will she accept the offer of treatment? For Fabian, 37, an addiction has cost him everything and was once an entrepreneur.

Many people don’t like hearing this but being an artist requires skill, motivation, technique and even an education. Modern artists have enabled this myth that someone with zero experience can simply declare themselves an artists b/c they feel creative. This guy doesn’t understand perspective, color theory, composition, etc and just paints. That’s why he hasn’t sold anything. Piercing your nose, getting tats and doing drugs doesn’t make u an artist, it makes u a cliche.

I think it’s 10,000 times worse if you’re a drug addict and have children. That mother really is a disgrace. I feel sorry for the kids. As for Fabian, I have a little more sympathy for him. I think he’s one of those crazy expressionist artists. Obviously he should stop doing drugs because they’re killing him and ruining his life, but I think his situation is not as dire as that of Dawn, who has completely ignored her responsibility to her family and children.

I think they seem like very nice and respectful young men, especially given the circumstances of growing up with a drug addicted mother who is clearly not always in the right state of mind.
